Leisure Suit Oh House

Thanks to the Sims 3 Seasons expansion, the game can cycle through the four seasons like Vivaldi. Each season has an associated holiday that, as far as I can tell, always falls on the last Wednesday of the season, giving all Sims a paid day off from work and an increase in mood from all the seasonal goodness.

Summer's holiday is Leisure Day, first celebrated in 1987 to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Leisure Suit Larry. Or something like that. Amber doesn't know the exact history, but she does know that her talk with Caid yesterday has her in the mood to throw a party!

Storm's A-Brewin'

Amber comes home with news of being promoted to a Production Manager, which should allow her to approach the right people with a much more respectable job with which to impress. May also comes home with awesome news, having been granted the position of Trauma Surgeon at Holy Cow Hospital. Hopefully, she's not the one causing the trauma.

May is the first to arrive at Seth Monroe' party, coming straight from work. She's delighted to find out that Seth is filthy rich, with a pool and an upstairs and vampires!

I Love Mondays

A new week, a new day of work, new oppuritunities! The Leisure Day holiday is coming in two days, and that will mean a paid day off to do whatever one wants as Summer comes to an end. But, until then, there are jobs to do.

Kay's, for at least part of the day, will be fixing the TV.

It Came From Space

Heading into the evening, May attempts one last effort at salvaging her kinda-date at a nice bistro.

"Oh...I didn't know this was one of those fancy places."

Owing to her companion's lack of proper etiquette, May decides that this relationship is best left at the co-worker level.

First Saturday, Continued

Amber spends a bit thinking outside the gym. Natasha Gooder was a nice kid, but no use since she's just teen-famous, like Soulja Boy and Kim Kardashian. Wayne Martin was too busy to listen, but the fact that he was shooting signals of "more than liking" Amber meant that he would be good tot alk to later. Amber needed to head someplace big, and she needed someone who could spare a few minutes.

The Hoi Polloi Event Center! Big acts take place here all the time, it should be a good place to meet someone with connections, maybe on break or something.

Dawn of the First Saturday

 Fresh from her early sleep, May decides to grab a snack, do a bit of light housework, and pay the bills. To her surprise, her sisters have love letters! Steve Cupp is courting Amber, while Finnegan Sawyer has sent two letters to Kay! Sure, Kay's letters both say the same thing, but it's the thought that counts.

 The morning goes as normal with Amber sleeping off her late night, Kay making a proper batch of pancakes, and May attempting to do laundry. Attempt, because the washing machine breaks down on her. But, never fear, Kay is here to knockout the problem!

May decides to spend the day indoors, catching up on reading, and a visit to the art gallery later. Kay chats Finnigan up over the phone, and Amber heads out to the gym.

It's Friday Night, and I Feel Average

While Kay preps for her show tonight, Amber is now off of work, having made her check for the day. Since today is Friday, it's time to get out there and make herself famous!

Let's call him Dave. He looks like a Dave.

 Thankfully, her night doesn't depend on being outside, because it's hailing now. She bums a ride with a co-worker to get home unscathed.

Aside from setting fires and putting out fires, Kay's an aspiring superstar Acrobat. She is intimately familiar with fire from her first couple of performances, wherein her specialty is the fire baton show. Once, she actually even performed it correctly without setting her butt alight! Despite this, her shows have gotten mediocre reviews, which is both good and bad for a beginner.

She has another gig tonight at Flying V's Coffeehouse. Let's all hope this morning isn't a pre-cursor to disaster.

Amber works as a Personal Assistant to the stars and crew at Plumbob Pictures. However, her sights are set on becoming a Superstar Actor, and she is well on her way with the conenctions she is making. The director of the latest movie, "My Dog and My Fat Cat," has started to mentor her, giving Amber tips on how to get her name out there. The next step for Amber is to become a minor celebrity.

May Oh dreams of being a World-Class Surgeon, and is currently working as a Resident at Holy Cow Hospital. She is a Workaholic, so going in to handle an emergency at 4:30 AM was no problem for her, and she won't mind returning later for her regular work day. My name is Lanoom, and I dabble in Sims 3. If you're from Armbar Error Society, WHAT'S S'UUUUUUUP?

This blog will be used to hone my ability to tell stories with Sims 3, because it seems fun. It'll mainly be centering on the characters of AES. Specifically how, will be worked out. I'll be starting with the Oh sisters, and then expanding as I feel comfortable.

Note that I'll be playing with aging off, but story progression on. Seasons are about 20 Sim days. I control most things, but am willing to let a situation play out if it seems interesting.
